The Bride
Picks the wedding date and the type of ceremony.

The Groom
Chooses his best man and the ushers

Pays all fees and expenses at the church
Pays for the bride's bouquet, bouquets for the bridesmaids and buttonholes
Buys presents for the bridesmaids
Organises transport for himself and the bride to the reception
Arrive at least 40 minutes before the ceremony is due to start
Show guests to their seats, give out buttonholes
Help wedding photographer/videographer organise group shots
After the ceremony they are responsible for escorting the quests from the church and for seeing that everyone reaches the reception venue
Bride's Mother
Arranges wedding announcement in the newspapers
Consults the groom's family about the invitations for their guests, sends out invitations and keeps checklist of replies, makes list of the guests for the ushers
Organises the reception
Looks after the wedding gift list
Attends the signing of the registrar
Sends the cake to those who could not attend the wedding
Bride's Father
Pays for the wedding stationary, flowers in the church and the music
Plans and pays for the reception and the bride's transport
Attends the wedding rehearsal
Last to leave the house with the bride, walks with her down the aisle and gives her away
