Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology (formerly known as Gloscat) is well established as one of the UK's largest
further education colleges. It offers a wide range of education and training programmes for the 16-plus students and more than 42,000 of them are enrolled in a wide range of education
and training programmes ranging from GCSEs, A Levels, vocational qualifications, work-based learning
and Higher Education, basic skills courses, short courses for business, part-time day and evening courses or English for overseas students.
The college has two main sites - a modern campus in Cheltenham and a brand new, state-of-the-art campus in the Gloucester Docks.
Cheltenham Campus which is situated at Princess Elizabeth Way, Hester’s Way, has a state-of-the-art design and includes virtual language labs, hi-tech classrooms, sixth form centre, modern hair and beauty salon, sports centre and gym, Renaissance Restaurant and Academy of Culinary Excellence. A leisure centre with top of the range facilities is available at the site.
Gloucester Campus has been recently relocated to the state-of-the-art dockside site. Facilities include the arts, design and media centre with a theatre, multimedia technology, photography, video editing and audio studios, hair and beauty salons, engineering and motor vehicle workshops, science labs, library and learning gateways.
Gloucestershire College also operates from over 120 community venues throughout Gloucestershire, and out of county.
