d.ash (Dee-Dot-Ash) has become a popular live act locally, where his skilled protoraps oft portray a paranoid world where domestication leads to insanity or worse – complacency.
On record, the sexy but lonely lo fi stylings of the guitar pre-dated the ‘grindie’ movement by a good 18 months.
Dash funks across as a kind of Beck and Tricky catching Andre 3000 and Jarvis Cocker excercising the buddy system.

Formed in the womb answering questions that had baffled scientists for years. Unconventional childhood lead to outrageous clothing and self-loathing. Educated slowly and by force. Still bleed occasionally. Joined the army in search of belonging, sneaked out the back in search of drugs. Learnt to play the guitar in a late seventies brain-washing experiment. Side effects resulted in random patches of hair and the tendancy to act like a caberet singer when nervous. Have been playing live for about a year before then death which meant stagnant and very monotonous style.

"Our latest album sounds like walking
through a park full of angry hippies with laptops and guitars trying to hate and embrace the modern world at the same time” (d.ash)
