The Open-Air Theatre Festival started in 2004. The Tuckwell Amphitheatre in Dean Close School's Bacon Theatre provides the backdrop to two weeks of entertainment - there are performances from local theatre companies, cinema under the stars, children's fun days, live music performances of local musicians and more.

For over two weeks The Tuckwell Amphitheatre hosts to an exceptional selection of drama, music, and film. 2007 Festival opened with the talented Richard Digance and included Taming of the Shrew, Sense & Sensibility, Robin Hood and Peter Gill's Jazz on a Summers Evening.   OPEN-AIR THEATRE FESTIVAL 2008 July 2008
