On the night of November 5th, throughout Britain, we commemorate the capture of Guy Fawkes with bonfires and fireworks. On the very night in 1605 the Gunpowder Plot was foiled and bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King and since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night.
