JOSEPH COOPER STRAFORD (ABOUT 1795 - 1859)

Joseph Cooper Straford (about 1795 - 1859) was my wife's first cousin four times removed. He was a solicitor in Cheltenham and the Clerk to Cheltenham Magistrates. He was involved in a series of extraordinary and controversial cases mostly stemming from the contested Will of Admiral Sir Robert Tristram Ricketts, Bart. (1772 - 1842), and a number of related reports appeared in The Times. I have transcribed them and would be pleased to share them, but I would also very much like to accumulate more material on Mr Straford with a view to writing a short memoir of him.
