GT1 & GT2
Qualifying was very close with less than .1 of a lap covering the top five over the one minute timed session with Richard top from Dave, then John M & Rob with their GT2s.
The first final was won by Richard, who had a close race with Paul until he pulled away in the second segment to win by three laps. Graham and Noddy brought up the rear with their GT2s.
The second final was won by Dave. Brian was a couple of laps down after two segments but had a bad third segment and couldn’t close the gap in the fourth. John O did enough to take the lead in GT2 with Noddy in fourth.
The third final was won by Rob H with his GT2, beating Johns earlier time by 11 laps. Mike was just under two laps behind, making up for a poor qualifying run. Rob L lost a few laps with car trouble which probably cost him a place. John M brought up the rear after starring in qualifying.
Toyota GT12
Only 10 drivers were left for GT12 so it was decided to run two five man finals. Richard set a fast time early on in qualifying, but Dave just beat it towards the end. Brian was last to go and took third from Rob H, followed by Paul who beat John O by .02 second to take the last place in the top final. The ‘B’ final was John O, John M, Rob L then Noddy and James with their production cars.
In the ‘B’ final Rob had a good dice with John O but got quicker towards the end to take the win. John O just beat John M, with James beating Noddy this time after Noddy hit car trouble. In the ‘A’ final Brian lead from the start but fell off on the second lap and took Dave with him, letting Rob H and Richard past. Dave gradually caught up while Brian was going very quickly but making the occasional error. Eventually Dave won by 8 laps from Paul who just pipped Brian by a lap with Rob H in 4th. There was a 30 lap gap to 5th place Rob L, closely followed by John O, Richard, and John M, with James and Noddy bringing up the rear.]
