About The Club

Bishop's Cleeve Seniors Club is an active over 60s club, having over 300 members. It is a Non-Sectarian, Non-Political club and a Registered Charity. Membership is open for the over 60s resident in Bishop's Cleeve, Woodmancote, and surrounding areas. The Club is open 6 and sometimes 7 days a week for various Social Events and Activities. Bishop's Cleeve Seniors Club is a friendly and caring club so if you are over 60 and need to make new friends and enjoy new interests come along to a Coffee Morning on Wednesdays or Saturdays between 10.00am and 11.00am, and you'll be made feel very welcome.

 

Activities

The activities include Short Mat Bowls, Skittles, Bingo, Yoga, Exercise Class, Whist, Painting & Handicrafts, Poetry, and Walking Group. There are also Musical Evenings, which include Folk, Choir, Groups and "Sing-a-longs" etc. Outings to various places of interest, Quiz Nights, Slide Shows, and Guest Speakers on a wide range of subjects are also on the programme.


 

The Club House

From an idea in 1946 and with the support of Gloucestershire County Council, a New Modern Building became available in 1988 for the sole use of Senior Citizens. It was subsequently purchased from the County Council on behalf of the Membership in 1998.
