  ART GALLERY & MUSEUM

Cheltenham Art Gallery was established in the late 19th century. Today the gallery houses outstanding permanent collection including fine art, ceramics, or local history.

  BEECHWOOD ARCADE

Since 1991 Beechwood Shopping Centre has attracted millions of shoppers. With shops such as Debenhams, Next and Disney it offers the ultimate shopping experience.

 THE BREWERY

The Brewery is located in Henrietta Street, just off the lower end of the High Street. It offers a number of shops, restaurants, multi-screen cinema and bingo hall.

 EVERYMAN THEATRE

The Everyman Theatre started its life in 1891 as the New Theatre and Opera House. Frank Matcham, the famous architect of many London Theatre created the design.

 HIGH STREET

Cheltenham High Street is renownend for shopping with style. It is home to two large shopping arcades, the Beechwood Shopping Centre and the Regent Arcade.

HOLST MUSEUM

Gustav Holst was born in Pittville in 1874. This composer became known as the author of The Planets Suite, the most performed composition by an English composer.

 IMPERIAL GARDENS

Originally used as an 'ornamental pleasure ground' for visitors to the Imperial Spa, today Imperial Gardens offer the opportunity to rest in a shade admiring neatly-planted flowerbeds.

 LADIES' COLLEGE

Cheltenham Ladies' College was established in the mid-19th century to serve the daughters of local gentlemen. Today it is one of the top performing colleges.

 LONG GARDEN

Situated on the western side of the Promenade, Long Garden offers beautiful flower bed displays. Famous Neptune Fountain is located on its southern edge.

 LOWER HIGH STREET

Lower High Street, an area which is sometimes also called West End, has retained much of the character of the old Cheltenham.

 MONTPELLIER

Montpellier is often referred to as the continental quarter of Cheltenham, famous for its cafes, restaurants and art galleries. Montpellier Walk is one of the most beautiful shopping streets in the country.

 MONTPELLIER GARDENS

Established soon after opening of Montpellier Spa in 1809, with its tree-lined broadwalk, a bandstand and tennis courts Montpellier Gardens is an ideal place to relax.

 PITTVILLE

Pittville is one of the finest examples of Regency architecture and it features some of the finest houses in Cheltenham, including the magnificent Pittville Pump Room set in the surroundings of Pittville Park.

 PLAYHOUSE

Originally fashionable Thompson's Medicinal Baths enjoyed by the Duke of Wellington, today The Playhouse showcases amateur theatre productions of the highest standard.

 THE PROMENADE

The Promenade is the most impressive shopping avenue in Cheltenham. With its exclusive designer boutiques it was voted the favourite High Street in Britain.

 QUEEN'S HOTEL

Central focus of the upper part of the Promenade, Queen's Hotel boasts many a famous visitor, having served Cheltenham Spa since the 1840s.

 REGENT ARCADE

Famous for its Wishing Fish Clock sculpture, Regents Arcade first opened in 1985 as the largest single development in Cheltenham of the 1980s.

 ROYAL WELL BUS STATION

Cheltenham bus station is conveniently situated in the centre of Cheltenham, near the Promenade. It is served by National Express Coaches as well as many local companies.

 ST. ANDREWS CHURCH

St. Andrew's Church was originally built for the Presbyterian congregation in Cheltenham. Today it is a United Reformed Church and a popular venue for Cheltenham festival events.

 ST. MARY'S CHURCH

Dedicated to St. Mary, Cheltenham parish church is the oldest church, as well as the oldest surviving medieval building in central Cheltenham, dating back to the Norman times. .

 SANDFORD PARK

Although it belongs among the youngest out of Cheltenham parks, Sandford Park has certainly the most stunning flower displays. The river Chelt meanders through this park which offers excellent recreational facilities.

 CHELTENHAM TOWN HALL

Cheltenham Town Hall was built in the beginning of the 20th century by F. W. Waller. Today its impressive auditorium hosts a number of events ranging from concerts to comedy and fairs.
